High level members got A\C back after only an hour or so but the paying guests and lower level members suffered 15 hours. We went in many businesses with air conditioning. The front desk told us it was out all over the city. I can recommend LOTS of Cozumel resorts that are a great choice. Even if you are a member, use your points elsewhere. If you aren’t a member I strongly recommend you stay elsewhere. It serves very few food choices and most of them aren’t edible. The buffet is your only other dinner choice. ![]() For the low price of $27,000 you can become a member oh but your member privileges don’t activate during the current vacation. The bartenders are good to everyone equally. We paid substantially more for the preferred level. Every place in this resort caters to the members first…. They came to the Preferred pool which is supposed to be for the preferred at Secrets. It doesn’t matter anyway because the food is tolerable in both but certainly not worth waiting in the outside heat for a table. You can’t make reservations unless you are a member. So if you paid full price to be there that isn’t good enough to eat at Mexican or Italian unless you wait…. The Mexican and Italian are VERY small and they seat the “members” with higher level color bracelets first. There are 3 restaurant choices for dinner. The seafood restaurant serves decent food, BUT they are only open for lunch and there is always a wait. This resort has a lot of good but for us the bad food situation far outweighs all the good. I will explain the food issues next but let me start with the good. Never have I left a bad review for a resort. ![]() We vacation at all inclusive resorts, usually in Cozumel, every year for about 20 years now. If you aren’t a high level member DON’T DO IT!!!! No good A/C or decent food unless you are a member. Weve narrowed it down to the Iberostar or the Occidental Grand. ![]() IF YOU AREN’T A MEMBER THEN YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO THEM. We definitely want to stay at the south end at an all-inclusive. In the evenings, sip on a refreshing margarita and take in live entertainment at the La Ceiba theatre bar before retiring to bungalow-style accommodations with private balconies, hammocks and more.THIS A TIME SHARE TYPE RESORT.
